Open Science enthusiasts and where to find them
In recent years Open Science Communities (OSC) across the Netherlands have been formed. If you want to be part of a community that shares experiences, learns from each other, and discusses all things Open Science, please join!
You are from the Utrecht Science Park? Then the OSCU would be the one to join.
Data Stewards of all kinds
By now, quite a few organizations in the Netherlands have employed data stewards. If you are a data steward yourself, want to become on, or are just interested in data stewardship related topics, you are more than welcome to join one of the regular meetings of the DTL Data Steward Interest Group (DSIG).
Many members of this group have contributed to the ZonMw project "Towards FAIR Data Steward as profession for the Life Sciences - A collaborative approach built on existing expertise" in 2018/2019; and contributed to follow-up project funded the NPOS "Project F: Professionalizing data stewardship: competences, training and education" in 2019/2020.
Research Software Engineers and alike
According to the NL-RSE: "Positions like data steward, information manager, research data officer, research software engineer, research supporter and other titles are increasingly recognized as intrinsic positions in the academic system."
If you want to write and contribute to mainly research software together with 200+ members from 30+ institutes, the RSE community is your place to be!
Connecting experts on national level - LCRDM

Utrecht University Research Data Management Support
Besides openly available guidance and support on their web-page, you can also attend their work-shops, cafe's, and seminars. Additionally, you can sign up to their newsletter and attend the regular meetings of the is a UU RDM community.
Health-RI Netherlands
The Dutch Health Data infrastructure also known as Health-RI is the latest big umbrella initiative on national level that combines the efforts of several organizations, projects, and infrastructure providers. Together the join the mission to provide integrated health data research infrastructure for care providers, researcher, and citizen.

For expertise advice on your research and the possibilities UBEC offers to get the most out of your data: request a meeting by emailing us. Experimental design, data management, bioinformatics analysis, results and follow-up experiments are discussed. The facility manager ensures that experts from participating organizations are present during this meeting.
